DEB McCLELLAND
I believe that strong boards don't happen by accident—they're built through knowledge, clarity, and good governance.
For more than 35 years, I've had the privilege of serving on boards and helping not-for-profit organizations strengthen their governance and strategic direction. Over the past decade, I've worked with boards across Canada, equipping directors with the knowledge and confidence to govern more effectively.
My career includes nearly two decades with the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving as Director of Member Relations for the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Along the way, I've been honoured with provincial and national Executive of the Year awards, appointed to the Council of Excellence by my peers across Canada, and recognized as a Fellow of the BC Chamber of Commerce.
Today, my focus is on making governance simple, practical, and engaging through self-paced online courses and resources that help boards build better governance habits—one meeting, one conversation, and one decision at a time.
Every board has the potential to govern with confidence. My goal is to provide the tools and guidance to help make that happen.
